Why this role exists

We are hiring two ambitious Business Developers to help expand Waltero internationally. This is not a desk job — it’s an opportunity for a curious, driven, and globally minded individual to grow into an international business leader.

You will work closely with end customers, inspire partners to try Waltero’s unique solutions, and build sustainable business ecosystems across markets. After a successful first 24 months, top performers will have the opportunity for international assignments (e.g., Singapore, USA, India) to continue their growth within Waltero.

What you’ll do

You will be part of a small, fast-moving, and entrepreneurial team. Your daily work will include:

  • Building relationships with customers and partners across different countries and cultures.

  • Inspiring end users — utilities, industries, and municipalities — to adopt Waltero’s unique edge-AI sensor solution.

  • Setting up partner and distribution networks to accelerate growth.

  • Designing and executing pilot projects that demonstrate the value of Waltero’s technology.

  • Translating technical innovation into clear business outcomes.

  • Taking ownership, working hard when needed, and finding ways to move forward — whatever it takes.

Who you are

You are a motivated and globally minded professional ready to take real responsibility and grow into a business leader. Specifically, you meet the following criteria:

  • You hold a double degree (or equivalent) combining business and technology — for example: engineering, electronics or computer science and business, marketing or international management.

  • You are proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

  • You have some initial experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles — for example through a student project, internship, or previous job.

  • You have exposure to international markets — for example through an exchange semester or internship abroad.

  • You enjoy meeting people, building trust, and creating tangible business value.

  • You are curious, structured, and self-motivated, with the ability to connect with people from different backgrounds and cultures.

  • You understand B2B business models and how technology, data, and services create value in industrial or utility contexts.

  • You’re comfortable discussing technical concepts (IoT, connectivity, data, sensors, AI) and translating them into clear business outcomes for customers and partners.

  • You can analyze markets, identify commercial opportunities, and quantify business potential with a data-driven mindset.

  • You have strong presentation and communication skills, both in-person and through digital channels.

  • You’re ready to work in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment, taking ownership of your tasks and outcomes.

  • You are open to international travel for customer meetings, exhibitions, and partner visits
